Momentary Illuminated Raised Push Button Switch Head

Momentary Illuminated Raised Push Button Switch Head

ACXION Momentary Illuminated Raised Push Button Switch Head is a spring-return button head with built-in LED — designed for industrial automation panel builders and OEM/ODM buyers who need a tactile raised button that springs back on release with integrated status indication. Available in red, green, yellow, blue, and white with IP65 protection as standard.

DESCRIPTION:

The ACXION Momentary Illuminated Raised Push Button Switch Head pairs with contact blocks and a mounting frame to form a complete momentary illuminated push button switch. Unlike a latching head that holds its position, this head springs back to its original position the moment the operator releases it — the circuit is only active while the button is held down. The raised profile makes the button easy to locate and press quickly, which is important for start, stop, and jog commands where the operator needs to act without looking. The built-in LED is independently wired to indicate an external circuit state — such as motor running, fault active, or power on — regardless of whether the button is being pressed. Anti-rotation boss included. IP65 as standard, extendable to IP66.

FAQ:

Q1: The LED is on even when I’m not pressing the button — is that normal?
Yes. On a momentary illuminated head, the LED is wired to an independent pilot circuit that reflects an external state — such as motor running or power on. It does not indicate whether the button itself is being pressed. This is different from a latching illuminated head where the LED typically shows the locked/unlocked state of the button.

Q2:Can I use this head to replace a damaged button head without rewiring the panel?
Yes. The head unit can be swapped out independently without touching the contact blocks or wiring behind the panel, as long as the replacement head is the same type and size.

Q3: Can the LED voltage be specified?
Yes. The LED pilot voltage should match your control circuit voltage. Please confirm the required voltage when ordering to ensure compatibility with your panel control circuit.
