JIANGSU ACXION Upgrades Automated Equipment to Raise Industrial Switch Quality

This July, JIANGSU ACXION has finished installing a new setup of automated machinery across its main push button switch plant. The upgrade brings in robotic contact welders, automated assembly stations, and camera-based inspection tools to update how the factory builds its industrial switch line.

When machine builders ship equipment overseas, small component variations cause real headaches. A slight change in spring tension or a misaligned seal can cause a switch to fail way too early on the shop floor. ACXION put this new machinery in place to pull manual hand-assembly out of the loop and keep every unit running on the exact same build specs.

What Changed on the Factory Floor

The machinery overhaul touches several key steps in the push button assembly process, focusing on mechanical toughness and electrical life:

  • Robotic silver-contact welding: The new welding units use precise robotic positioning to attach silver-alloy contact pads directly onto terminal arms. This keeps electrical resistance low, cuts down on contact pitting under heavy current, and keeps the switch conducting properly over long production runs.
  • Automated assembly for industrial switches: Purpose-built for various industrial switch shapes, these stations handle internal springs, latch contact blocks, and lock outer housings automatically. Built-in sensors check every step as it happens, stopping the line if a spring or housing drops out of tolerance.

  • Optical and force testing before packing: Before any switch goes into a box, high-resolution cameras check bezel alignment, housing fit, and silicone seal placement. At the same time, mechanical sensors press the button to verify the actuation force, making sure operators get a solid, crisp click every time.
  • Automated seal fitting for IP67 ratings: Industrial panels face dust, oil, and washdown spray daily. The upgraded press units apply calibrated pressure when setting UV-resistant silicone gaskets, ensuring push buttons hold up to IP65 and IP67 ingress standards out in the field.

Better Delivery Times for OEM/ODM Buyers

For control panel builders and exporters, getting parts on time is just as vital as product quality. Replacing manual steps with automated equipment helps ACXION push more volume through the plant floor each day without running into quality bottlenecks.

That extra capacity lets the factory handle sudden order spikes from international OEMs while keeping standard delivery times tight.

“Upgrading the plant floor wasn’t just about making more switches—it was about making sure every switch acts the same,” said an ACXION plant supervisor. “Whether an engineer buys ten switches or ten thousand, every single button needs to work identically when it gets wired into a cabinet.”

With the new automated workstations fully up and running, ACXION continues expanding its switch manufacturing capabilities, supplying heavy-duty push buttons to panel builders and machine exporters worldwide.
