Hardware quality gets you halfway there, but where your assembly crew mounts the buttons on the cabinet door matters just as much.

Try to mount operator controls on slanted or angled panel surfaces instead of flat horizontal ledges. Water and chemical foam run right off a slanted face instead of pooling around the base of the switch head.

Also, whenever your shop punches mounting holes in painted steel or stainless doors, make sure technicians file down any sharp metal burrs. Sharp burrs slice right through synthetic rubber gaskets when workers tighten the retaining nuts, leaving tiny hidden paths for water to leak under pressure.
